There is an abandoned project Mamoli 1/90 Victory on my local craigslist. I have dug around on the web and have not found a lot of clear information on what is included in the kit. What sort of fittings are included and how nice are they? This is a later kit with metal boats. I really have no interest in a big Victory, but am interested in the fittings. If anyone IS interested in a big Victory, it's on the San Francisco Bay craigslist- looks like the hull has the first planking done, but the stern galleries are not yet attached.

I built the Mamoli Victory a long time ago. The quality of the fittings are good without being remarkable from what I remember. No complaints there. More or less on par with the othe Italian makers. The wood is not as nice as it could be but finishes up well. Parts were well cut without significant errors. The design is excellent and a relatively easy construction to make a compact model. Instructions and plans are good. The metal gun ports simplify construction a lot. The copper plating is made of cut wooden strips dyed green. Initially not impressed but when applied and painted with copper paint then distressed looks realistic. Better than using actual copper plates IMO. Mine had wooden life boats. I enjoyed building it.
