I was placing the cannons from the trinidad and i came tot the question if they have to point all in the same direction and highed. Because the can roll backwards after a shot and some have to aim higher to shoot a larger distance. So can you make variations when putting in the cannons. Ik dont like 104 cannons in a straight line its a bit to perfect.

You can do what you like. If there is no battle then they would all be off wall and stow rigged, The ports would also be possibly closed.
In battle prep they would be forward & ready to fire. The angle would be set/ changed for distance or use. IE the French / Spanish would aim for masts to disable ships, whilst the British would aim for the hull to disable firing capability ( Kill the gun crew). It depends on going for a Technical display ( showing off all Equipment in nice neat line) or a using your imagination to build a Diorama type scenario. Is there a right or wrong way ?. Some will argue one way others a different. Unless you are working on commission or a required purpose its your ship, its your decision.

Just enjoy it.
