Just for Fun - Riddles

Greg, I had the AHA! moment after I shut down the computer (typical).
In the first three statements: We are all into... in the last statement: Are we all into ?
Ok @eric I give it to you.
The word into is preposition, so everything before a preposition is what we after.
Good thinking 99!

Greg I have one for the members, a maths professor couldn't even work it out.

6-9-10+40-50 = 6 How is this possible?
After using my calculator and putting brackets in, I eventually came to this solution:
6−9x−(10+40−50)=6
Inside the brackets the answer is 0, so when you time nine by a zero the answer is zero, so 6 minus 0 is 6.
Is that the answer?
Greg

OK, you start off with the word SIX then subtract and/or add Roman numerals, therefore SIX minus IX(9) equals S, subtract X(10) from the IX(9) leaves I, add (40)XL, subtract (50) L leaves X(not 10). Answer is S I X. I found this in a book that was printed in the 1890's and have been trying to find it eversince. Your answer by using a calc. is correct. Trick question if you like. Also when you add (40) XL it is NOT looking for an answer there, techincally at that point it would be (41)XLI, subtracting (50) L would leave XI(11)
I'll let you lick your thumb and smooth your brow on this one. Hopefully this has clarified it albeit confusingly, look at the logic.

I see said the blind man reading to his deaf son.
That's a dark more complicated answer, but again whose knows!
Thanks mate for the clarification.

Btw how did your endeavour turned out?

Hi Greg, models went onto the backburner for almost the last two years while I was at TAFE. The Endeavour at the moment has the three lower masts in place waiting for me to serve/seize the shrouds. The blue paint needs another coat and the yellow trim has yet to be done.
My Sovereign of the Seas has the hull about one third first layer planked.

My model of the Endeavour was seriously damaged in our recent move to a new home. The removalist truck ran over it, and completely destroyed the masks most of the deck furnitures and the second planking has to be redone. There a hole in the first planking as well. Surprisingly the bulkheads were not broken. Only my heart. I put away the model to try to do a Lazarus on it after my Royal Caroline. I've still got the sea diorama in the garage waiting and seeing if I can fixed it. Luckily also the beautiful carvings of the transom which @janos made for me, came out of this ordeal without a scratch. The model is in a box waiting for me.
Happymodeling

Here's a mathematical question for you all.
Can you work out in your head - no paper or pen,
What is the total sum if we add
1+2+3+4+5 all the way to 100

In lest than 30 seconds.

Tell me how and the answer?

In lest than 30 seconds.

Tell me how and the answer?
99+1 =100
98+2 = 100
and so on
51+49 =100
50+50 = 100
so 50 times 100 = 5000
