The ships of the 17th are a bit too baroque for me, but your achievement is, once again, a real success and a marvel of precision!

Thank you. On the other hand, I am fascinated by the 17th sculptures

Yes, it shows in your work. Thank you for showing us this real talent of sculpture.
Anyway, I'm a fan of your talent! In particular your work on Le Commerce de Marseille ...

The English translation is:

Good morning this was my first completely self-built model.
It was a real challenge because having only the Greenwich design, where only the water lines obtained from the original model are shown, I had to get almost everything. I have been able to put into practice many things never done before like the construction of the hulled inverted hulls, as well as the 100 cannons one by one before I did not even know how to use a lathe. And then all the sculptures.
For the ordinates I kept to the Greenwich table, the interior was made according to the documentation of a contemporary model, as well as for the cannons, while for the decorations I kept to some photos of the Greenwich model and the plans in business.

I used the pear tree, the boxwood, the ebony, the red paduc, the teak and a white wood (I do not remember the name, however it is not the maple)

G'day Michele
Absolutely brilliant model. You should be very proud of this amazing achievement!
Well doneExclamation-Mark
Happymodeling
Greg

Buon giorno Michele
Modello assolutamente brillante.
Molto bene!
Modella felice

Respect m8. Super piece of art! How long did it take to make all of this?

Beautiful model - congratulations for your first scratch built - definitely not a model which is the easiest as the first one

A very nice model, congratulations. And since I carve myself, I know how much work and skill in the sculptures stuck. The Prince is one of the finest models of its time, and I bow to everyone who builds it.
There are two things that I criticize. First, the belaying pins. These are undetectable in England until the 18th century. The belaying pins on the model at the Sience Museum London have been restored during the early 20th century. The second is the rigging of the cannons. With you, that seems more continental. But the two things do not make the model bad. I'll stick with it, it's a wonderful model!

Regards Kay

I have always loved this ship and wish they would put out a good kit of this. I do not have the skill to carve the figures and am not a good enough artist to even get a starting picture right. The work you do is incredibility. Thanks for posting your beauty on this site.
