HMS Ontario 1780 scale 1:32 POB full version

Thanks Joe,
If I give you my e-mail address could you send me a copy of your file. Thanks again that sounds like a plan. :text-thankyouyellow:
:music-rockout: :handgestures-salute:

I am using autoCad 2004 so I can only export
metafile .wmf
encapsulated ps .eps
acis .sat
extract .dxx
bitmap .bmp
3d studio .3ds
block .dwg
lithograph .stl

any of these are really poor they are raster images

I can save as only dxf or dwg in older versions of autocad

oops!

I used solidworks and opened the DWG file and saved as a tiff it looked good in solidworks but this is what I got as a TIFF
not good

So we need to work as a team here I will sent the DWG file over to Joe and have him convert it to something usable.

file was sent to Joe at 1:48 scale

even if I could get a good raster file it is still an image and it is not to any scale

so lets see what Joe can do. If we get this issue resolved it will be a big step for builders on this site. I can draw in CAD and anyone who can use DWG or DXF files would have no problem with them. The problem is getting files anyone can use and print.

ok do me something

1: never save as a dwg file they always act goofy always save as DXF

2: Draw a square around the files with known distances so I can be sure it is exactly the same

3: resend

and 4 when saving from solidworks save as a PDF that way you dont get pixelation and it will be exactly as you see in the solidworks screen

ok done

Ok I just sent you back a PDF 36 x 36 of everything that most printers can use. Let me know what you think and if you cool with that then I will creat individual PDFs of each station for printing at home if everything is cool.

also if you hadnt seen the post on the other forum of my screen share my join me link is up all day to watch me cad on my screen I can show how I did that. the link is https://join.me/796-954-801 and at top there is a chat bubble to click for a whiteboard

the file looks great
I have no problem printing/ plot direct out of cad so I can change scale or select each bulkhead one at a time. My printer plotter will print
17 x 42

for those who have only a 8 1/2 x 11 printer or want to change scale is something else

I sent the PDF file to Zoltan and I think he wants to go bigger in scale so either break down the file into each bulkhead or take the file to someplace like office max and have them do the printing.

Hi Dave ,did you send the file to the right email?my second pm has the correct email as the first mistaken.

The end is .com not .ca

Thanks

Or the overall 1/32 scale ,Staples can print them I guess, what would be full size of the printed sheet?

For now just send the full size 1/32 scale pdf and I check if Staples can print that size, thanks.
