HMS Enterprize 1782 Shipyard 1:72

Hoi,
@ Brian, thanks.
@ Bob, all of the printed models in scale 1:96 you must glue on to thicker card, the thickness is given in the instructions. 0.25mm-0.50mm-1mm or 2mm.
For a lot of models there are lasercut sets for the heavy or hard to cut parts for sale.
The lasercut kits are on the right card but in no color. only scale 1:72.
I will start a new buildlog for a ship with tips and tricks, check it out.
Greetings Jos.

Thanks Jos. Sorry to bug you with another question, but did you purchase the thicker card online and if so, do you have a link to the website(s)?

Bob

Hoi Bob, no problem.
For the 0.50mm i use good card from cerialbox or shoe box.
The thicker is the card what they use for making the underlayers on the bar, where you put your glass on.
I dont now the name of it but a good paper hobby store will have it.

Thanks Jos, I should be able to get my hands on that stuff. I'll probably order the kit for myself.

Bob

Hoi Bob,
The Enterprise is not a kit, just printed hull parts and plans.
The Mercury is a full laser kit, both in 1:72
Hope this helps.
Gr. Jos.
Force of habit. If it has a bunch of parts, it's a kit to me. If I have to make all the parts, it's scratchbuilt. Symantics, I know. But anyway, given the price, I like it over the full blown, everything cut out for you type kit. I don't mind cutting the parts out myself if they're already drawn for me.

Thanks again,

Bob

G'day Jos
I've just found you log and like Maarten and the rest, I'm now away how this build is going. It's hard to believe it's card and the amount of detail is exceptional.
