Hi Brian,

My condoleance with the loss of Geoff, I didn't knew him but from the posts in the memoriam I read he was of great help to you all.

Nice work, the hull is looking stunning. Is there a reason that you paint the hinges instead of burnishing these?

Hi Maarten and Ewe,
with regards to the rudder hinges they were included in the kit and are solid cast brass which is very unusual.

Most kits have that horrible cast white metal. I usually blacken my brass with Casey brass blackening formula, but need to assess whether I can do this or just paint the hinges black. I have already glued them in position.

herewith the link from the pc:
http://www.4hmodel.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=40847&extra=page=1&_dsign=88d5429e

If it not works you can find it on 4hmodel.com (switch on English translation), on the home page go to "Forum" in the left column. Scroll down go to "foreign ship model works", scroll down to HMS Pandora 24-gun Porcupine-class.

This is one of the most detailed models I have ever seen, really stunning.

regards, Maarten

I wrote „there is a long way“..... I was reading a little bit more about the Hungarian modeler of this Pandora. My wife is Hungarian.
He also built 19 years on this model with somehow 20.000 hours.....so it was also for him a very long way.
Brian, sorry for highjack once more your topic.....
