G'day Mike

Hi Geoff and Greg,
Thank you both for visiting my build log and for your kind comments. I should have mentioned and photographed the fabrication process for the bilge pump plungers. I get so raped up in the build I forget to take photos.
The instruction called for using a brass eyebolt such as what I used on the ladders. I wanted to try out my new lathe and chuck, so I machined a piece of 3mm x 3mm bass wood down to 2mm round and cut a slot in the end. I think it looks more old timey this way.

Hi Mike

A Lathe is a great tool to have. i have played with mine very little so far. I bought some aluminium to play with as it is cheap. A bit of WD 40 as a lubricant was what I read online. I have been petty busy of late and I have bought some brass to play with. A few day soon I hope I can play with it more. Learn about turning some metal. I will do so when time permits.

Cheers
Geoff

G'day Mike
Your machine made pumps is far better than the kits and it's more fun and rewarding to add your own to it than just use the kit.

Hello Mike

Just checking in after my two-week vacation of R & R, I have not opened up the Old Ship Yard as yet maybe later on today. Great job on your stairs they sure did turn out nice, along with your very realistic bilge pumps. Bounty sure is coming along very nicely and also very fast, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

Hi Lawrence.
Thanks for your visit to my build log. Welcome back from your vacation. Thanks for your kind comments for my stairs. I could not have done them without you kind assistance. I need to get back to ship building. I have been learning SOLIDWORKS. I is a very demanding process, for me at least. Joseph has been a very great teacher understanding. I'm working on plans for a 40 gun frigate "The Chapman."
The weather is just starting to get into double digits and soon I will be able to use the garage again.
Happy modeling Mateys.

Hi Donnie,
All the inline info has been removed from this build log as well as all missing images. Any photos that that are not in my log are gone in cyber space and should be disregarded. I am not finished with this model and would like to continue this log.
There are some images that you posted to help with my sails and there display, and these images I cannot edit.
I know you are working hard to get the new system ready for launch so this is just FYI.
