A few sheets of the semi-mythical drafting linen have shown up on eBay. Early 20th century sources speak highly of it for sails, but it vanished with the advent of drafting mylar and CAD drafting put the final nail in the coffin. It's a very thin and tight woven cotton with a LOT of starch. The starch will wash right out in the washing machine. Not my auction. and I have only played with a few scraps and have never made a suit of sails from it.
