Ik read aan lot nof about rigging but on the
Internet one person says it can only be black and the other one says brown ore black and Brown. Sometimes i see black with white horizontale rope. So what is it. Some building kits have 3 or 4 colors. ???

G'day Pat
When I do the rigging, I follow only one rule. The standard rigging I do black and the running rigging I do brown.
The difference between the two are the standard rigging, like stays and shrouds have a tar finish on them with rope wrapped around for strength.
The running rigging is the rope that sailors pull to make ready for sailing.
This is a very basic run through of the types of ropes.

Hope this helps you .

G'day Pat, the running rigging was a very light Fawn colour, just look at the pic above, if you're ropes are very light colour you might be able to darken them a little bit,

Best regards John,
