its actually a chapman 18 gun privateer. I will use a sloop for the basis since I have info for the interior etc and it is almost the exact same shape and size and then use a ketch masting which is what the one above is.

most of his designs the shapes were all very similar. in this case it was basically a sloop. I set his drawings of this particular ship over that of a swan class and they are really really close

Ok so tonight I messed around with the keel framing for my Privateer vessel.

I just need to figure out the tapers and such of the deadwoods etc. then its just a matter of lofting the new hull and I can start cutting wood and making my backbones

abt 14 but I still working on the tapers etc. thats the hard part for me is understanding the aft deadwood and sternpost tapers and rabbets and the bow tapers. I did mess with the bow lower apron think I sorta got it

yea she looks good but lately I been having to drive 70 miles to work at different location to help out. plus I have 2 projects I am trying to work the 3D drawings out so this is on hold for a couple months at least the main work is. I am doing 3D of Mikes Blandford cross section which will help newbis visualize it better. and over at MSB we are working on a Bomb Vesel Cross section and the 3D is interactive to help with visualizing as you build to help newbies make their life easier and hopefully get more people into plank on frames
