I bought the Mantua before the modified it with the new done decking. This reduces the value of the kit in my opinion.

The old Mantua/Panart kits were nice. However, the newer versions with laser cut decks and parts are cheaply made and the wood is not that good. The parts are made in 3 layers and some come apart when you try to remove them from the sheets or try to put them on the ship. Their rigging drawings...

I used super glue to attach them. I measured and marked where they should go. Did a white glue attachment to check that they looked right and removed and wipe clean the area before doing the super glue final attachment.

That is a big model and looks great. It is amazing how much it cost to produce a really quality model. Kits arte a good start, but always require a lot to get them to look like the real ship. great work as always.

Great piece of history. I had heard of the wagon but did not know that there were horses specifically bred for it. Sad to here that the bred of horses are no longer around. Also, looks like a nice job of building the model.

This is a tough one. I lost my mom to the same way but was dementia. She was 90 but had been bed ridden for 3 years. She was in an Alzheimer's facility for 4 years. At least she is at home. Wish you the best.
