HMS Mercury, 1:72, Shipyard [COMPLETED BUILD]

Ok, it goes on:

People who have been following my construction report in other forums for a long time already know that: There will be some demolition. I do not know what this part is called in English. In German it means Püttingswurst. It is the pole to which the shrouds are attached to get to the mast head.
I hope the pictures explain it.

Fortunately, the shrouds have weathered this difficult operation well.

Now it is true!

And now its ready.

A last look for today over the ship:

And the next demolition is already recognizable. I do not like the railing on the platform, I am rebuilding it.

Hi, i have just been trough your entire build, this is an amazing work! i have a card Enterprize started but never built more than the hull, just using it for "bearings on the 1:48 POF model, but after seeing this i got inspired to finish it in the future. Well done! I´m following your build!

Oh, thanks for the many nice comments and likes! That motivates me enormously. Soon it will continue here, but this weekend I'm busy with another hobby: friends come to visit, and I cook a great menu. Salmon, rabbit and much more, plus fine drinks. I'm sure you understand that the yard is closed for this reason. :p:D;)

...Wish I could go to Dresden for this weekend...perhaps...no, I guess I will skip this time.
Enjoy

I am building the Shipyard Victory I hope it turns out half as good as this I will be happy. I'm not in a rush on it and I'm only working on that build while I wait on things to dry and whatnot on other builds when I'm done my two current builds Ill jump on it full time till its done.

Enjoy the time with your friends - The ship will wait for you - and we also

Hello friends, the show must go on. :)Today was the start for attaching the rat-lines. The small area of the chain plate on the mizzen mast is a good introduction to this phase of construction.

And Jimmy, one of my best sailors, shows us how to really climb the platform.

Excellent work, Bonden! And yes,...those sailors make your model alive. OkWhere can I get those sailors?

I think it's fantastic how today's technology helps us bridge language barriers. Even though google translator sometimes translates nonsense - we are connected, we communicate with each other, and that around the globe. I am very glad that I found this great forum. Thank you! That's why it's a lot of fun to show my construction report here. I am sitting in my room in Dresden, Germany, and see that people who are in America, Australia and elsewhere, have the same hobbies as me and are enthusiastic about model making. and we talk about it, here in this forum. the world can be so beautiful without quarreling. Great!

I fully agree with your words

One question:
we can see, that you are making some additional ratlines on a higher level. Do you install some earlier to keep the shrouds in correct distance?
BTW: Good work !
