Clamps to help rigging Ropes

Post by Aussie048 » Sat Aug 05, 2017 7:18 pm

This is an ideal clip/clamp for holding ropes whilst rigging.

They are a syringe type action but through the centre hole comes a single wire which can help hold whist rigging.

They can be obtained through electronics components shops.

They come under a couple of different names "IC Test Clip" and "Test Clip - EZ Hook" and are avalable in a couple of different sizes

yes, agree with you Geoff. They are circuit board clips used in the computer industry.

They have a spring retractable copper hook which is great for gripping rigging thread and will hold it firm while working on the model.

I use hemostats.

There are really really cheap on ebay and the weight is perfect for keeping lines taught. They come in curved and straight.
