TSS Earnslaw

Postby kiwibob » Fri Jan 06, 2017 1:08 am

This is my latest model she is 21 inches long and at a scale of 1/100 . This vessel still sails on Lake Waktipu and is over 100 years old on the original boilers and engines and still coal fired. She takes tourists down the lake to view the high country sheep stations and snow covered mountains. Being built 100 years ago in a city some 180kms away she was transported in pieces and then reasembled. So if you are in New Zealand and go to Queenstown you will be able to take the trip and view her.

Smashing looking model, Bob, have the owners of the actual ship seen it?
