Mike, the address is the https//........ under Bob's name.

Bob, is that white ABS plastic you are using at one stage on the aft deck? Are you using ordinary paper for the sails?
One can get a "permanent" paper (made of plastic, can't tear) it is available in white and opaque semi translucent (used for tracing)

I haven't seen this ship before, you've done a fantastic job as always, and I still get blown away by the ocean effect your wife does wonderful work. Give her a hug from me, no, make it a big hug!
Regards
Eric

Eric,
The white bit is styrene sheet (plasticard) obtained either from Ebay or a model shop. The sails are white airmail paper with grey lines printed on them in the computer printer. I use grey so they are not too prominent!

Sgtmik,
As Eric says, click on the link below Bob in my first post.

Attached is one of Christine's very best seas, on the Donna Francisca model.

Very few ship model builders can build this type of model for the most ridiculous reason! As soon as they see them they say (or think) "I could never do that!" and there the matter ends. Then they go and spend vast amounts of money on expensive kits that are a thousand times more difficult to build!

I use special techniques and there are no knots anywhere. The rigging is all fine copper wire. I stretch it slightly with two pairs of pliers to make it straight. Measure the required length with dividers and cut it to that length with a scalpel. Pick it up in the centre with fine tweezers. Dip each end in glue and place it in position on the model!

I have several downloads of miniature ship modelling techniques available for nominal sums (paid by Paypal), all available through my website (via my profile here). They have proved very popular over the years, and more are being added.
