the other half of July was devoted to getting the hull ready for something I have never done before. I gave it a coat of resin. I didn't use any cloth, as I didn't want to have any cloth grain to show through.

the shoe.........how could I have missed it!  it was an easy fix though......no harm done.

I enjoyed doing the resin work.........it wasn't to tough to sand either.

after painting the portholes and windshield, a little extra bling was added. this brings the tree boat up to where I had left off with the Jingle Belle.

the trim work adds so much character to the boat. I was sure to leave some of the minor flaws on the overall boat, so that it would retain the work boat charm. I will add more of the fittings for fishing, and allow the tree boat decorations to balance it out. the last thing I added, before moving onto the trawler, was the cabin hatch.

this catches up the build once again.........I hope you enjoy ;-)

Interesting build. It is nice to see the thinking process and makes you realize why it takes so long to build our models.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

thanks Gary.......I'm hoping another hull doesn't get caught in the mix........it look'in like a nautical soap opera   but really.....I'm glad I did the new hull for the tree boat.......it looks and factors in so much better. besides, I won't lose a tree boat......I'll gain a fishing boat! ;-)

thanks for the god word!
