Hi Eric 61,
I think the look of a stunned mullet but its been a hard day doing the rigging given there is very little room to move

The boat I have to say has come along well I think my friend will like her and help with his family history.

Cheers

WOW!! Kiwi what a fantastic looking model, but some questions must be asked.. how much ballast will she need? is she seaworthy? will she float? and why must I give this model to my friend, she has become part of my life! I want to keep her.

Seriously tho', I take my hat off to you. I have tremendous patience but I don't think to your degree and what will be your next project?

Regards
Eric

Nicely done. Rigging something this small must be a real challenge.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

Hi Eric,
Ballast is very little haven't tried to sail her as yet the lake over the road is currently empty leak in the dam!!. re giving her away Im building another about half way though up to rigging so have been making dead eyes 128 at 2.5 mm along with singe, double, and triple blocks.
After this I will build another coastal scow that was used as Radio Hauraki a pirate radio station in the 1960s I was there on the wharf protesting against the government and their regulations.

Thanks for the positive remarks

Bob

Goodness! if the dead eye is only 2.5mm the blocks will be even smaller, the blocks on my 1:48 scale Endeavour are 2x2.5x3mm and I am having trouble with them! On the gun carriages they are tied with wire and I can't get the wire wound properly so I use thread and coat them with dope afterwards. I forget to change my distance glasses for my readers and after a few hours I have great difficulty focusing, even on a 50" tv!
Love your models though.

Eric
