Triton Cross Build by Larry (rummy)

Postby rummy » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:17 pm

Hello one and all. This is my first try at scrach building. This is the Triton cross section. The plans were already lofted. It was cut them out like paper dolls, tape to wood, cut the wood. Each of the 9 frames takes 11 parts. You can see the jig is very simple.I had to learn quite a bit about a band saw and home made thickness sander.( maybe bbrockel will post the video to this) very simple to make.
I was down loading the plans from MSW but those plans are gone. This may be a short build :handgestures-fingerscrossed:
Best Regards Larry

Larry:
Sorry you lost your plan source. Hopefully you can search the web and find a copy. Try http://scalemodel.net/ and you might have some luck. You are making great progress.
You do not need to start another log with each posting. You just add to the one you have. If you want to change the title, you just choose edit and type in the new title. You should contact Donnie, the admin and have him consolidate this build.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

no big deal Gary........wait about ten years.....they'll be multiples of just about every build on here     :D

that's why I've come to the point of watching the modeler in the builds....and not the builds themselves as much. but I DO like my eye candy! YUM!!!!!! :text-coolphotos:

Thank you one and all.Yes I was able to locate some plans so it's back to work.(note to self ) Do not work with oak.I have been sanding all day and making very little progress.Took it to the disk sander. That worked.I think from now on I will work with basswood.
Thanks again,Larry
