Polish Ship - Galleon Aquarius 1626 1:40

Post by JScolum » Mon Mar 26, 2012 4:55 am

Started 09 August 2010 . Not finished yet.
Oaken hull, birchen decks, pine masts. A bit too much one can see large jars to the scale but me oneself so appeals. The assumption was so that materials were like in the original. Laun chboat of Beech.

wow! nice work....that hull is going to look real good! you look to be like me....I have four builds that I am doing. you have some real neat stuff going on here ;-) . I favor the large builds as well......you can put in more detail. My Nordkap is 1:50.....and that's over 32 inches long! how many builds do you have at the moment? keep up the good work ;-)

Outstanding work. How many vessels have you built? Did you do a lot of kits before starting scratch builds?
Happy modeling,

Answering a question. I have it at myself. The Enterprise schooner isn't already mine. He is standing somewhere in Germany. I only got rid of it. To it in parents' house Revange is standing (first my wooden ship aged 15), Golden Hind on the basis of the cut-out the Boatbuilder and Szebeka. (made as wooden)

Hi Leszek,

WOW, just amazing. What a wonderful build :handgestures-thumbupleft:
And you have your own fleet.

I will follow your progress with much interest.

Nice fleet. They all look well done.
Are you going to case them? Dust can be a big problem and can destroy the rigging. I live in a big city. Counting the the suburbs, there is over 2 million people here. The green gas smog contains oil which can attack glue. I don't know if you have this problem over there. But for me, I put my completed ships in a display case as soon as I finish them. I have spent enough time cleaning them during the building process.

Hello Leszek,

Another one of your beautiful ships. You have great planking skills. And the ornamentation is just beautiful.
Excellent work :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Take care,

Anja :happy-sunshine:
