thanks J......yes.....major differences. it was very nice of Corel to send m those tack line decorations for the sheave holes. of course the pictures I have of her, allowed me to create the decal work. if you look at some of the renditions from other model manufacturers, each one seems to have a different take on the actual ship. the same applies to the Mayflower. I've had a lack of spare time lately......yesterday though, I did get a chance to work on the mount for the ship's boat and the boat itself. I should have a small update on her soon. thanks for the good word :text-thankyouyellow:

popeye wrote:thanks Donnie.......sorry for the late reply, I've been on an eight day stretch at work {I took on a part time job}. per the Billing's instructions, they show you the basic ladder and railings........I just enhances them a little. in spite of the kit missing some parts, I've been able to recreate them and build her to the point I have now. still a bit more to do, bit I'm almost ready to mast her :)

Hi Popeye, Long time since my last visit here :)
Your half moon is very nice.
Missing the model building now and then, my arms are pretty ok now :)
We are about to start building a new house next spring if all goes as planned, with a spacy garage ;)

hope to finish what i have started to build soon

I'm surprised that I haven't added in the updates that I've done recently to her. the ship's boat needs to be assembled and set up before it's added to the deck layout. first, the seats need to be added........and eye bolts needed to be added to the hold that the boat will sit on. with that done, it was cemented in the chocks on the hold.

drat! I have to rescale my pictures smaller I'll get that done........and I'll be back ;)

hello Rick.....welcome to S.O.S. I hope your enjoying it so far. I know what your saying.......I've had a lot of fun with this incomplete kit. I ordered some stuff for it.....I got the stuff.........but so far, it's still in the closet. I've been meaning to take it out, but I got tied up with the trawler and been working on that build. I'm close towards finishing.........if I can just stop thinking of things to add to it, it will be sooner. all I can say is keep checking in, since I never know where my mind will end up. I have too many projects.

it's good to see someone new....welcome.
