Hey, Donnie - thanks for the nudge! Have continued to plod along on the Emma. She is almost starting to look like a fishing smack.

Have been working along on the interior. All interior ceiling now installed, painted, and distressed to look like it is a working boat. Cabin nearly finished now, just the stove to install and a coal bin.

Have started to install the deck beams and frame the hatches and structures. No pictures of that yet, but will get some up soon.

Last, just wanted to brag about my better half. She has knitted, using a pair of common pins as the needles and a single strand pulled from some cross stitching thread, blankets and a watch cap for the crew. I thought it was pretty cool to knit at that scale!

Enjoy -

ECB on the waysa.jpg
Latest view - hull planking is underway, though I am struggling to get my mind around Spiling, Tapering, stealers and drop planks. I understand the concept, but having a tough time with the implementation!

ECB 29Feb16 abovea.jpg
Gives a nice idea of the interior - a couple of ladders and some props to add, along with a small coal stove I made for the cabin. The main cabin will be partially planked to allow a view inside.

Hi Wayne,
you have a very high imagination and that is one thing that I like about your log - I love the little extras with the men on board ! Nice ! Keep up the good work - this is going to be a very nice model I am sure.
