Friesland form Mamoli

Hello,
The Friesland was a second rank vessel with 80 guns built around 1663, part of the great fleet of the United Provinces of Holland, it took part in the battle of Solebay with the allied Anglo-French forces.

Tadeusz,

There are many things that I really like about this ship. First of all, the wales so so realistic with what seems to be maybe iron nails. Next, the sails are very well done. They have a life to them billowed !

Your jig for the hull that allows you to turn the ship is the best I have seen for working on this model. I would have never thought about having a fixture like this that allows for the ship to turn.

Last year I visited the Batavia in Lelystad, that's a nice replica and indeed similar to the Friesland.
