Royal Caroline by Pan Art

Postby SgtGlick » Wed Dec 19, 2012 10:18 am

Just an intro to my build of the Royal Caroline
Sgt Glick
Going to try and add a photo.

It is well said;
One can't have too many clamps :D
Photo shows the installation of the first bulkhead.
It is aligned in all planes.

Hello Sgt Glick:
You are like some of the others here with two ship build going. That takes a lot of workspace. This one will take less time but is still a beautiful model. Good luck.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

Problems are just challenges waiting for your solution.

Current build: Sergal Sovereign of the Seas
In Que: Sergal: Cutty Sark and Amerigo Vespucci; Billings Titanic
Completed: Amati: HMS Prince (old 1:78 version); Billings: Norske Love and Vasa; Mantua: La Couronne; Sergal: Mississippi Riverboat and La Soleil Royal

"a lot of work space"?
I have a room 10 feet by 13.5 feet by 8.2 feet
My work table is 31" by 41".
My builds take turns.....
Thanks,
Sgt Glick

This is also a beauty!

You are having two builds at the same time?

Sjors
Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.

Hi Sjors,
No, I am actually building more than two
Why?
A friend of mine from the SSL had passed away a little while ago, and his
wife posted she was selling some of his new model kits.
I bought a few.
To help her, and also myself.
So, it is the SOS by Sergal/Mantua
HMS Victory by Pan Art
USS Constitution by Model Shipways
Charles W. Morgan by Model Shipways
HMS Bounty by Amati
Royal Caroline by Pan Art

Wow, that's a lot of builds you have going on there.
And a few are real beauty's.
I wish you all the luck with those builds.
When they are finished, you need a bigger house :D

Thanks, Sjors,
No, no bigger house in store for us.
I will have to sell the models or donate them.

Hi SgtGlick

It is a very nice model with many similarities in the assembly with the San Felipe from the same manufacturer.
I look forward to your progress.
