Corel VASA 1:75

Postby JScolum » Mon Mar 26, 2012 7:35 am

2 day Before Valentin Day 2011

A friend of mine bought it for me on the flea market in Netherlands

Set how after notes on the manual I am filing originally 1984 was started by some Scandinavian and produced in 1985 perhaps. Predecessor made up by the company Corel. everything cut out on every element holes are a milling cutter after fixing stakes. This Scandinavian probably had a pale notion about the boatbuilding, fortunately what one can see in photographs is being glued together with some transparent glue which easily is being subjected to acetone undergoing dissolving. Formers generally speaking are only after connected without glue. Even he mistook two formers. He made an assumption that for every there to give glue how nicely fits the set generally causes the impression very good just enough in accordance with reality. Alone in order to on account of ornaments never on Wasa didn't jump. He is sorting only a launch boat from the set

What I purchased is showing photos and the demolition too.

Now the model lies in pudedłku and is waiting his turn

On the entire golden casts one can't see details. In order to show them I performed attempts with ancient patina

This looks like it can be a nice model. A lot has been been discovered since this model was designed. There is several views on the web showing the artifacts found and the museum where it is being reconstructed.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

On Photo - I in 2007. I have all available materials including plans from the museum. The last study. The man under ship is feeling as the ant. If only to be equally on the highest level of the stern I had to enter on 3 floor in the museum: -) Then I didn't know that I would be building Vasa Ship.

Wow. What a treat to be able to visit a vessel that is 384 years old. Great pictures.
