Post by DenisR » Wed Mar 08, 2017 11:16 pm

Hi all.

I am also building the RW at the same time as the Revenge.
But concentrating on the Revenge at the moment.

This is just some of the kit parts.

Hi Zoltan

Yes It is a Euromodel kit.

I have to say it is one if not the best kit I have come across.
I say kit it is more like 50% kit and 50% scratch build ( that is why I am taking my time over this build ).

The only thing that lets it down is the castings of the decorations and windows, they can be a lot better.

I will also like to add that if you send them an email they will answer it, they have sent me parts that was missing.

Other kit makers don't wish to know you if you have a question or a part missing.

Next up was to make some spacers and glue between the frames.

Lower deck now dry fitted.

Hi all

Re the lower deck, some people asked me how did I fit this deck.
First this deck comes in two half's one port side and one starboard side.
Next you have to cut the two parts about 2/3rds from the bow frame so they sit on half of a bulkhead frame.
I added the 1/3rd of the deck first at the stern area.
Next you push one part 2/3rds part from the stern area and slot it in place, do the same with the other side.

I followed this build on another site and there are a lot of pitfalls with part and castings not fitting correctly. The drawings seem to have everything but it requires a lot of thought to get things correct and done in proper order. It makes a great model and one that you can be proud of. Good luck.
Happy modeling,
Gary Maple

Hi Donnie

I do hope you build this kit.
Like I said it is 50% kit build and 50% scratch build.
The idea is you can do as little alterations as you like or as much as you like it is up to the builder.
Be warned there is very little instructions with the kit it is all on the Euromodels web site.

Denis.
