TEST SIZE

Post by eric61 » Sat Jan 17, 2015 10:57 pm

1000X664 @ 251K
Donnie, this is the largest (proportionally) that MS Picture Manager will make the image in order for me to upload it, directly from my computer.
If I go to 351K the size is 1505x1000, SoS won't accept it because it is not within 1000x4000. It won't resize to 1000x1000 or 1000x900/800.
Regards
Eric

It seems though that you broke the barrier of the 160k ! You mentioned proportionately. Good point. I think that I failed to mention that the dimensions that I gave you about the 1000 x (whatever height) was due to me "cropping" the image to the way I like it, and then resizing it to 1000 wide. I think I have the code setup to take a 4000 pixel height. I will play around with the file you gave me and repost it here.

Ok, according to Paint Shop Pro X7 the image dimensions are 4912 x 3264. According to MS file explorer the file size is 4512K or 4.5Meg.

The first thing I will do is to resize the image to 1000 wide. My resizer will "maintain or lock" the aspect ratio which the height will automatically fall in line proportionately. Therefore the new size is 1000 x 664. The lowest compression that my PSP X 7 will do and still to keep it high is about 285.2Kb.

Therefore the image. (and basically, the same result) of which I would say has corrected the 160k limitation that you were having - I assume that is correct?

Yours come up 34.2k larger, but as you say I am happy breaking the 160k barrier, woooohoooo!
Eric

PS You are using Paint Shop Pro, I am using MS Picture Manager in Office 2007. I have Corel Draw 13 but haven't reinstalled it, the Photo module is pretty good.

The code within an HTML fie consists of text surrounded by tags These tags indicate
where the formatting should be applied, how the layout should appear, what pictures
should be placed in certain locations, and more
For example, suppose you wanted a certain word to be italicized, like this:
Everything is on sale
In HTML, there’s no Italics button to click, like there is in a word-processing program Therefore, you have to “tag” the word that you want to be italicized The code to turn on italics is
<i>, and the code to turn italics off is </i> Your HTML code would look something like this:
<i>Everything</i> is on sale.
That’s an example of a two-sided tag, which encloses text between opening and closing
tags, in this case <i> and </i> Note the forward slash in the closing tag (</i>) That
slash differentiates an opening tag from a closing tag With a two-sided tag, there is
always a corresponding closing tag for every opening tag.
