Billing's Nordkap 1:50 scale

Postby popeye » Tue Nov 08, 2011 12:02 pm

this is the first wood ship build I've ever done. a friend of mine had it up in his attic for over 20 years.......when he found out that I liked to build models, he gave it to me. It was missing the hardware kit.....he could not find it, so I looked around for them and found Billing Boats in Wisconsin {here in the states}. Later, i built a ship for him and we have become good friends.....i find it amazing what one wooden ship will lead to! today, I have over five builds in the works......I'm in it up to my eyeballs......and I love it!

And yes, you are nuts....... :D
Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.

this one took me a year to build. with everything that happened with the build, it came out very well. I am quite pleased with it, but I am giving it back to it's owner. if it wasn't for this guy, I never would have gotten into wooden kits. my wife told me that i can get another one...so i can't be sad about it. I still have my pictures :D

Popeye - your Nordkap is outstanding. Who ever is getting this will truly be amazed at the level of craftsmanship you have poured into this ship.

Congratulations
