San Felipe by Mantua

Postby Andy » Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:44 pm

The San Felipe is a Spanish ship supposedly built in 1690, but in all probability never existed in the fleet. Instead, she seems to be a composite of actual Spanish ships existing around the time.

Hi Andy,

I'm glad to see you and your San Felipe on the forum here. Welcome!

That's a beautiful job you've done. I rigged a model of the San Felipe, but never built one. However, I have a partially started kit that was given to me be a friend and fellow ship modeler who I just found out last week had passed away. I will definitely be building his model and I'll be sure to hit you up for some pointers. Lovely job!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments. I kept a log as I was building the San Felipe. It took me a little over 800 hours to build.
