HMS Bounty and my Workroom

Postby likenew » Thu Aug 25, 2011 8:16 am

Now that I have finished the HMS Bounty I thought that I would share her with you along with the room that I build in. I made everything that you see in the room including the wall unit. My work bench is just out of the shot behind my chair. Notice that the computer is right there for reference as as a life preserver should I need to get help from the forum. Enjoy.

That is stunning arrangement. I am far from having that type of display at my house. But, then again, I don't have enough ships !!!

Yes, I did see the video of the Railroad. I should not ever complain again about something being tedious !!!!

Actually, I have two plastic models. One is of Captain Kidd as packaged (but actually, I think it is some copy of the Wappen Von Hamburg). Then the other plastic is Jolly Roger as packaged (but actually, I think it is some copy of the Le Flore.)
Then I have the Model Expo Sultana Schooner (the only wooden completed)

I had the idea about 20 years ago to build the Bluenose (model Shipways). That was really my very first attempt at building a wooden ship. The scuppers wore me out. I was so sick of making those umpteen 1/32 squared openings, I just ditched it. As a matter of fact, the hull really looks quite impressive as all the planking is done. I still have the kit (two sets of instructions and plans).

I had thought about selling what I have to someone that might want to finish it. I would have to mail the hull separate. If you know anyone interested, I can almost give it away for a little $$$.
