Classic Revell clipper ship Flying Cloud

Post by modlerbob » Mon Oct 23, 2017 11:08 am

This is the old small scale plastic model of Donald McKay's Flying Cloud. I sure wish that they had created a large scale kit of this ship along the same lines and scale as the Cutty Sark and Thermopylae. The scale of this model makes completely authentic rigging too great a challenge for me to tackle but I still feel the limited rigging I did gives a fair representation of how these ships looked.

Looks good Bob. Any idea on about how long it took you to build this model?

It took about two weeks, two or three hours at a time.
