I just watched Ron Howard's 2015 movie In The Heart of the Sea.
It recounts the wreck of the whaling ship Esses which was sunk by being struck repeatedly by a huge Sperm whale
The story was widely popularized at the time and served as inspiration for Melville's Moby Dick.
The movie adheres fairly closely to the true story which is a fantastic of nautical adventure.
The sailing, navigation and whaling cinematography are remarkably realistic. I think any marine modeler of fan of tall ships would find a lot to enjoy here.
